Gerard Quek is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore, with experience in commercial disputes, fraud and asset recovery, cryptocurrency-related litigation, and financial services law and regulation. Over the last decade, Gerard built and regionalized a Singapore-sebased firm by setting up offices, associations and desks in Thailand, China, Malaysia, Australia and Vietnam.
His practice includes complex disputes relating to digital assets such as cryptocurrency, cross-border transactions and international trade, with particular regional experience involving Singapore, China, Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand.
Gerard has acted as lead counsel in approximately 34 matters resulting in reported Singapore judgments – which is when there is legal and/or factual significance or public interest in the case – and has contributed to legal publications, legislative annotations and professional discussions on pertinent and emerging legal issues. He has received multiple accolades for his outstanding achievements in the legal industry.
Gerard is very passionate about serving the community and making a difference. He regularly takes on matters on a pro bono basis and has volunteered at Taman Jurong (Jurong GRC) Meet the People Sessions since 2015.
